Storms

Last night some storms popped up late in the evening.  As soon as we heard the thunder, The Architect pulled up the radar online.  We saw the storm cells growing and headed straight toward our house, so we grabbed our drinks and headed to the balcony.

We sat out there and watched mother nature put on a beautiful show of lightning for about fifteen minutes.

When the storms were close enough to where the lightning seemed right above us, we headed toward the bedroom, rolled up the shades, crawled in bed and watched the lightning flash, the rain pour and the trees blowing in the wind, all while snuggled up like spoons.

It reminded us of the end of the night after one of our most perfect dates, on a private island in Key West.

  1. Awww, we used to do that with the boys when Shawn was little to get him used to and enjoying the lightning. Now they ask to watch the storms when they come.
